A freelancer
pick one when you already have footage and need an editor, or there's a creator whose style you love and their calendar is open.
there are three usual ways to get a product video made: hire a freelancer, brief an agency, or order from a studio like ours that renders with ai and directs every cut. each is the right answer for someone. here's how they compare, including when you shouldn't pick us.
| criterion | visualon | freelancer | agency |
|---|---|---|---|
| price | fixed before you pay, from $19.99 / ₹1,199, tax included | quoted per job; varies widely with experience | quoted per project; usually the highest, with production costs on top |
| turnaround | 48 hours for a single video, 72 for a launch kit or hook pack | depends on their queue; often a week or more | usually weeks, with briefing, scripting and approval rounds |
| starting point | your live product: its real ui, copy, colours and fonts | whatever you send; often stock footage or templates | a discovery phase, then scripts, storyboards and sometimes a shoot |
| who makes the calls | a director, on every cut | the freelancer, if they direct; many are editors working to your notes | a creative team, with account managers in between |
| formats | 9:16, 1:1, 16:9 and 4:5; the launch kit ships three | usually what you ask for, often priced per format | usually a master film plus cut-downs, often at extra cost |
| ad variants | the hook pack: one ad, five openings, an a/b test plan | possible, usually billed as extra edits | possible, usually a separate scope |
| revisions | 1–2 rounds, fixed in the package | whatever the agreement says | whatever the contract says |
| if it goes wrong | full refund before work starts or if we miss the window; after that, a remake or up to 50% back | depends on the platform or agreement | governed by the contract |
| best for | launches, product promos and ads that need to ship this week | one-off edits, or a creator whose style you already love | large campaigns, live-action shoots, tv and brand films |
freelancer and agency columns describe how they usually work. every one is different, so ask.
